The challenge of integrating several thousand refugees into life in Greeley, Colorado proved formidable. Some 50 nationalities speaking 20 languages along with extreme cultural and religious diversity increase the complexity, but there is hope. Through the leadership of the Global Refugee Center, English language learning, GED education, Women’s Cycle of Life, and nutrition classes are provided to hundreds of refugees, asylees and recent immigrants. In addition, free case-management assistance connects these new residents with needed services. Our relationship is truly a partnership as we work together in this successful program.
