The Horrors of Sex Trafficking
Imagine the plight of a young teenage girl, either prostituted by family or taken by a stranger to a life of endless nights in a brothel. Imagine as well, the pain of being forced to serve some 10-15 men each day. Imagine the pain of knowing there’s no way out, no hope. Instead of being a figment of our imagination, this is reality for hundreds of thousands in India.
But also imagine these rays of hope: two separate homes, safe places for rescued girls to heal and grow while receiving medical care and counseling, homes where children born in the brothels can be loved and feel secure, schools providing quality education where none existed, and the introduction of gender awareness programs in public education. While the problem is huge, Christians in India’s New Generation Trust are rising to meet the challenge.
